Could You Pass A Sex GCSE Exam Made For Teenagers?

Belgian sexologist Goedele Liekens is raising some eyebrows in a school in Lancashire, after the UN Goodwill ambassador for sexual health took over a class to teach sex education.

The experiment, which aired on Thursday night on Channel 4, was aimed to provide teenagers at Hollins Technology College with some much needed life lessons.

"I think you lack good sex education in the UK," Liekens told ITV's This Morning. "Good sex education has to start at a young age. You have to learn to respect boundaries. It's an ongoing process until young adulthood and it is difficult- but we have to get over that."

During the lessons, Liekens told girls to go home and use a mirror to inspect their genitalia, and set boys an assignment to shave off their public hair.

The Belgian says she would like to see a GCSE on sex introduced, and says students need to learn about sexual pleasure, as well as STIs and pregnancy.
