A football club has apologised after one of its members urinated over students in a common room during a social - and is punishing the individual by making him down shots.
The University of East Anglia (UEA) Rovers were dressed in Lederhosen and on a night out at the university's lower common room (LCR) when one of their members took out his penis and urinated on students.
Shortly after the social, the club, which is made up of students and non-students, tweeted:
Following a backlash on Twitter, the club added: "On the whole, the social was a great success, but we accept the actions of a minority have tainted what was a great night."
The individual is being dealt with "internally" by the club.
However it seems his punishment is to down six Jagerbombs, according to one tweet:
Fellow UEA students expressed their anger at the incident on Twitter:
The Union has now opened an investigation into the incident. Anthony Moore, Representation Support Worker, told The Tab: “It is really important that the membership takes these matters seriously. I have been liaising with the ENTS staff and an investigation is underway.”
