In fact, today is a fine lesson in the art of humble bragging. Too subtle - and it's missed - too much - and you end up looking like Jeremy Clarkson.
And no-one wants that.
There was the loud and proud #humblebrag
I was pictured in the local newspaper when I got my A Level results all those years ago. There was no jumping though. #humblebrag

17 years ago I got an A in an A level I was estimated a U in, I remember seeing the face of the teacher who had no faith in me. #HumbleBrag

You know you're getting old when your baby cousin is off to uni (he got the grades for Cambridge innit) #humblebrag #ALevels #Alevelresults

To the plain outrageous brag..
If your A level results aren't great, be cheered by the fact that I got a C and two Us. And I'm currently sitting in a villa in St Tropez.

All the bragging did start to get on some people's nerves..
Buzzing for people to get into uni and that but please stop with speeches like you've just won an Oscar #Alevelresults

Thankfully, Ian Beale stepped in and called for calm to put a stop to the nonsense.
People doing selfies with their results deserve a classic Beale right hook #Alevelresults
