A brilliant (and egalitarian) letter to parents included in Lego sets of the 1970s has taken the internet by storm.
And despite the scorn and scepticism of every debunker on the web, it looks like it is real.
The letter states up front that "the urge to create is equally strong in all children. Boys and Girls."
"A lot of boys like dolls houses. They're more human than spaceships. A lot of girls prefer spaceships. They're more exciting than dolls houses."
"Let them create whatever appeals to them."

For a while it did look too good to be true. Boing Boing worried about the typeface, while others noted the letter was printed in "Germany" not "West Germany" as might have been expected at the time. But it looks like it's real.
