Two dozen US students were arrested for allegedly selling drugs at their school after police infiltrated their friendship groups and posed as fellow students.

The teenagers from Southern California are facing accusations of selling marijuana, cocaine, crack, meth, hash and various prescription pills. In scenes reminiscent of hit comedy film 21 Jump Street, the two police officers went undercover for a semester and posed as 11th graders at Perris High School in Perris, and Paloma Valley High School in Menifee.

Trevor Steinrichter, 16, said police showed up in his history class Thursday. “Scary. I saw my friend get arrested,” he said to the Press Enterprise.

Bruce Hollen, 16, said it was disturbing to think that a friend could actually be an officer. “You think you can trust people – you just never know,” he said to the paper.
